1981 Olds 307 v-8 w/trans $705 obo

1980/1981 Olds 307 4bbl complete with TH200 trans and wiring harness. Pulled from Delta 88 with rusted frame. Ran good when I removed it. Been sitting for about 8yrs, but no reason it should not start and run OK. Stored inside. Hard to find nowadays. $750 obo. Can e-mail pictures if interested.

Sorry Jakespeed, but the most you'll get out of that motor and trans is probably $150 unless someone local is in a bind and wants to keep their car origional. Those motors are only around 140 horsepower, and the 200C is undesirable because it is a light duty transmission. I had 2 of these 307s for sale locally and ended up having to GIVE them away to make room. It was hard to even find someone to take them for free. If it still has the computer controlled carburetor and 5a heads on it, you have a chance of getting a little money for it.
Good luck,

That was an interesting link. Goes to show that if you have the right builder, there is much to be accomplished. Thanks for the insight Norm.

Value of a Rocket

Thanks for the heads up on the current value, or lack there of. Man', when I had my Diesel repair shop in the 80's...finding a good running Olds v-8 to swap for the oil burners, was difficult and expensive. Ended up doing light rebuilds on most ie..valve grind, chain and gears, gaskets.
Hate to just throw away a good powerplant. Don't really have the room for it. Down here in Florida, seems to be quite a few inner city types running these Oldsmobiles. Thought someone would want one. Boo hoo!

P.S. are you sure people won't be looking for these, in 20yrs, to restore their Grandma's Delta 88???

1981 Olds 307 V-8 engine w/trans Make offer$$

1980/1981 Olds 307 4bbl complete with TH200 trans and wiring harness. Pulled from Delta 88 with rusted frame. Ran good when I removed it. Been sitting for about 8yrs, but no reason it should not start and run OK. Stored inside. Can e-mail pictures if interested. Anyone want to make me a reasonable offer? May end up keeping the trans, so can sell the engine seperately.

1981 Olds 307 V-8 w/trans 4 sale

Hey fella's, much to my dismay, I have discovered that this motor is stuck. I assure you it did run prior to removing it from the car. Will attempt to lube cylinders and free up. These Olds block are very tough, and have seen stuck engines come back to life. Will cut someone a sweet deal, hate to send a Rocket to the scrapper. May be able to deliver in a close proximity for the price of gas.
