1973 Custom Cruiser Wagon $475 (maybe he'll sell/ship parts?)

I'm still having trouble finding the place to post Craigslist ads. But this sounds like the potential for good parts. He's asking $475 for the whole car. He's calling it a Vista Cruiser but its clearly the full sized with the clam shell tail gate. I think I know this guy, so if your interested in parts you might try making an offer??? John

GOOD PARTS CAR! OLDS 350 ENGINE, MOSTLY COMPLETE CAR
I'll be keeping the valve covers in the pics but will include factory ones.

CALL (541-six five 9 - one two 9 3)"

He's also wrong about the engine because, unless it was swapped out in this particular car, the only engine you could get in a Custom Cruiser in any year of the clamshell era ('71 through '76) was the 455.

So he has the model wrong and the engine wrong. At least he got correct the fact that it actually IS a car!

That's what I thought too, but looking at the pictures it does look like a small block. Maybe someone toasted the 455 and replaced it with whatever they came up with. It must have the 1973 valve covers though as he's wanting to keep them.

Look at the intake, was the valve on the drivers side exhaust used in 1973? I thought that started in a later year.

If I had the time and room I would! Someone could probably pull several hundred dollars of parts off it, then still get $300 in scrap metal for whatever didn't sell. Not a lot of Olds people in my part of the country. I wouldn't be surprised if the car is mostly complete when it hits the recyclers.
