1972 INTAKE 350-4bbl #14 casting

I tried and tried to find a #12 casting for our friend Joe, to no avail, had to give up. Meanwhile I ended up bringing this #14 casting in town and getting it all cleaned and checked. It's a 410446 casting. 1972 issue all small blocks. Will fit all your similar SBO engines- 330, 403, etc. No EGR. Identical the all the 70-72 castings #10 & 12 except the exact casting ID/number.

Looking to get like $150 for it. Cost about $50 just to get it cleaned and checked as you see. Ready to use. Dated 270 or so.

Plus shipping from central MI 48911.

Well, this stuff happens. I could have SWORN it said #12 the one time I looked at it. They do a real nice job cleaning these things.

PS the intake runner #2 character is not quite the right size to use for a mold to make this into a #12 casting though I guess if one used the 1 and the 2 it would pass a cursory inspection.

I think mine might be the #12 manifold. Too bad you didn't have a #14. I'd trade you. But then there's the expensive shipping too. :-( ...

It looks like Octania does have a nice #14 for sale. If that's what you need you should send him a PM to see what the shipping would add to the purchase price.

It is what I need, but I think I need to find one locally or trade mine to make it more affordable. Octania. If you have a buyer for my fully restored intake, I'd trade with you. Mine is also fully checked out and has no corrosion anywhere.

that blue one is a #9

See where mine says "14" in the depression at the right front?

Shipping to states near MI was abour $30 last time I did it. Looking at like $200 total, and 50 of that was for uber cleaning

I think that's a fair price, but I think I'll wait just a bit longer since we have a bunch of yards here in L.A. too and I don't quite need it yet until I have rebuilt my 200-4R.

Unless you want to trade?... My manifold should fit a W-31 so it should be worth a bunch too, right?

What does the #12 actually denote? I'll look when I get home, I swear the one I have is a #12. I never knew what it meant.

It just denotes the particular casting. In this case, the #12 intake is casting 407565, used on 1971 350 motors.
