Joe, when we were racing our '70 W-31 in NHRA Stock Eliminator, we had to run the correct carburetor. The tech inspectors weren't concerned with date codes, only the list number. We sourced a "service replacement" NOS carb from Delco and it came with the correct list number, 7040255, and a date code of 3072. This was back in the '80s and the supplier actually had two of them, brand new in sealed boxes. Just an FYI.

Thumbs up

Joe, I didn't realize that that was my old carburetor. We always thought that it was a "255" and I guess that the NHRA tech guys did too! GLWS Thanks, Bob.
