I have a rebuilt M20 that came from my dad’s rebuilding shop over 20 years ago. Gears are super clean no wear indicated. Double groove on input shaft, don’t know why but it seems like there’s more play on the input shaft bearing than there should be, but not sure. 10 spline input 27 spline output. Came from my dad’s shop years ago so I really don’t know the history. But, price reflects that.
Case 3925660
Tailhousing 3857584
Side cover 3884685
Input casting 3915020
VIN 38Mxxxxxx
date code on main case P8A29
from a 68 442. $899 plus shipping.
Also have many of the various 4 speed parts if you’re doing a conversion, we can make a package deal but they’ll be cheaper than you can get elsewhere…..or just buy the tranny separately. This is a very clean transmission.
You don’t by chance have a z bar for 66-67 cars? That one 4 speed shifter you show it looks to me like it’s from a 66 the handle is anyhow. just thought I’d check. Let me know
If the first couple of pictures are supposed to be the rebuilt transmission, you may want to revise your post. That transmission is missing 1st gear, 2nd gear and the 1-2 synchronizer.
Thanks gear doc for pointing that out….i posted the wrong pictures so I will revise my ad. I just sold the complete tranny I have so I’ll be revising my ads for 2 incomplete M20’s with good cases to reflect the missing pieces and adjust the prices accordingly….that’s what I get for not being more careful on my posting….thanks for pointing that out.
so essentially what I’ll be selling are correct casing and tail housings for a 68/69 with whatever internal components I have included.
