This is a nice web-based resource…if you want a paper copy, take a look at the service manual numbers and search online (e.g., eBay, Facebooks Marketplace, etc.)

I was not familiar with these systems prior to reading this thread, but found it intriguing. Can such systems still be found or are they just nice to talk about if my 67 doesn't have one?

They are out there. My 68 Toronado was ordered new with one. Luckily it was still complete (aside from missing the correct red dist cap which I replaced) and working when I got the car. I found another complete setup (67 cutlass so the part numbers and date codes are different) on ebay a few years ago for $500 that I bought as a back-up in case anything on my Toro goes out. Here is about the lowest priced unit I have seen on ebay lately:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/385306954363

It looks pretty complete, but the harness and distributor connector will both need repaired.

Here’s an item for sale from a power eBay seller with years of OEM/NOS/NORS offerings…wow, these are getting pricey!

The K66 system was available on Oldsmobiles, Pontiacs, and Corvettes in the late 1960s. It is basically the grandfather of the HEI, but without the coil in the cap. The mag pickup in the distributor is similar to the ones used in HEI distributors, and the electronics box is 1960s technology's version of the 1970s HEI module. Many of these boxes are no longer functional, however you can gut the inside, substitute an HEI module for the defunct electronics, and get the system to work. Be aware that the coil was unique to the K66 system also.

By the way, if you have any interest, there is a 1967 UHV distributor (only) on ebay right now. It isn't cheap.

Here's an article with more information.
