1967 425 with C heads Found in Scrap Yard
I found a 1967 425 in the scrap yard yesterday. I dont think I will get it so if anyone needs anything or wants it let me know by Friday. Its on a 1967 Delta 88. Not sure if its the original engine that came with the car but it appears so. The block casting is 389244D with C heads on it. I need to know by Friday. Its been on the yard since October and I dont know when they will scrap the car out.

Well, if nobody buys the complete motor it might be worth your time to strip all you can easily get before its crushed. Pullys, brackets, heads, etc. That is if the yard will give you good prices on the parts.

Should the car have been optioned with the Sfire option engine with dual exhast and 4bbl the ex manifolds and quadrajet would have value.... and since they arent building 425's anymore it would be a shame not to save it.

Hey every one. I apologize for the delay. To answer all questions.
The car looked actually good, except for someone cut a legal sized paper hole out of the front where the emblem goes on the quarter panel. On both sides. Other then that, if my memory serves me correctly it was a solid body only missing the hood. The AC was there, pulleys were there. The carb (I think it was a two barrell) and manifolds were there. The transmission was gone. I turned the crank and it turned over very easily. I broke the fan shroud though. Grill and bumper were accounted for.
Rowdy, Two others beat you on the draw. I will look this weekend and if the casting date doesnt match what they want Ill get back with you.
