"1966 Oldsmobile L69 Tricarb setup, one year only, one of 2129 produced. My brother and I bought this from a Michigan racer in 1984, but it has been stored sealed in my dry basement since at least 2000.

I pondered restoring this (and marking it up $$$) to make this be showcar worthy, but I prefer to let the buyer see the real story and they can restore it, or just run it as is as a huge attention getter.

I am happy to send whatever pictures and answer as many questions as I can, but please don't waste my time or yours if you are not serious. The price is not negotiable. If it does not sell, I will hold onto it for future use. It will never get cheaper than it is right now. These are nearly impossible to find anymore.

The known issues for purists, the same issues as when we purchased this setup from Mr. Racer:

* The turnable heat block off plates have been welded closed, inside the crossover from the outside. I am not a welder or machinist, no idea if this is undoable. Never mattered to us, as we would have had them closed all the time anyway.
* The top plates on both end carbs had the air cleaner attachment bar milled away. We always ran the car with replacement pieces tacked in place. Replacement tops are available for $59 (now!) at http://www.ebay.com/itm/1959-66-Pont...e%3AOldsmobile.
* Air cleaners are aftermarket, incorrect, cheapos, and too big....each of the outside filters has an offset base, and offset stud, to attach these filter bases, the same as 1984.

Everything that I have to include is pictured. Pick it up in the Kalamazoo area, or I can ship it ground in the lower 48 to you for another $200. It is VERY heavy. Cash or certified bank check only.

If it is listed here, it is still for sale. As my brother passed away in 1988, I am only even considering selling it so that its soul may live on in another Olds, and not just collect dust here. Until you have handed me the cash, I reserve the right to change my mind at any time."
