1965 442 Engine

I have a 1965 442 400 engine ( I was told). It was pulled in the 80's due to blow by, it's been torn down since the 80's. Crank is for a automatic (not drilled for a stick car). I have all parts to put it back together except for the intake & exhaust manifolds... $400 PM if interested.

Engine is located 30 miles west of Cincinnati, Ohio...

You were told correctly. It's a 1965-only B-block 400. The "V" prefix on the engine unit number pegs it as a 442 motor (which would have been the only application for the B-block anyway).

Thanks, I figured it was a correct 442 engine. Maybe somebody may want it to make their car correct.

Police Apprehender F85s used the 400 (L77) also.

Is this engine still available? You have all the main caps, the rods, crank, and harmonic balancer? What condition is the crank in, damaged in any way? Are you willing to create and ship the engine and parts? Does the block have the boss for the clutch linkage pivot on the left side?

I had a a lot of people wanting the engine, but no comment yet, so yes still available.. All the main caps, the rods, pistons, crank, oil pan , front engine cover and harmonic balancer are there. I think I have the water pump also. The crank looked good to me. The guy pulled it back in the day due to blow by.. I can send pictures of all. Yes, it drilled for the clutch linkage pivot ball. Where would I be shipping this to ? Fastenal most likely would be the lowest shipper.
