66 Oldsnut, tcaroll I'm pretty sure I have what you need. Please send me a reminder on Saturday and I'll see what I can find.

Mtaman, Over the years I've dismantled a 1971 Delta 88 and a 1973 Olds 98. If either of those interchange I may have what you need. If you haven't found the parts by Saturday please send me a reminder and I'll dig around to see if I can match the parts.

Todd, the interchange was for Mtaman. Over the years I've dismantled three 1968 Cutlass's. I'm thinking of looking through those parts for your window crank.

Help

I have a 73 Delta 88 with a 455. I attempted to get the motor rebuilt. Not only did he not finish, but he also left a puzzle for the shop who currently has my car. He lost all of my bolts, nuts and skrews that's used to mount my hardware to my motor. Motor mount bolts, alternator bolts, harmonic balancer, fan that's attached to the water pump along with the bolts, bell housing bolts, power steering bolts. Can anyone lead me in the right direction to get these bolts replaced. Or even the sizes and threads of them. I went to every local junkyard with no luck. Thanks in advance.

Sorry for the delay in replying guys. Due to my work schedule I don't have time to do the car stuff until the weekends. I'll add your requests to the list of parts I'm looking for this weekend. John

Ttopcutty, I've got some complete 1970 350's but don't think I've got a set of loose #6 heads at this time. I have lots of J's and would sell a set with a visual check for $40 plus shipping. Or better yet, I'll have them hot tanked and magnifluxed to make sure they're not cracked for $75 plus shipping.

tcarroll, I thought I found one but in the bright sunlight I believe the **** is dark blue. I'll keep looking.

Ficks, I don't think I've got an extra but will look.

66vert, I replied to your parts wanted post. I've got two hoods that are decent, shipping would require building a crate but if you came down you could look at them both.

Are you close enough to pick up or would the engine have to be shipped? I've got 1968, 70, 71 and 73 350 engines. I'll have to look this weekend to see what loose heads I've got. John

So the engine would be sealed up but missing bolt on parts like brackets, pulleys, exhaust manifolds. Price on the 1973 would be $200 but the #8 heads mean you'd need flat top pistons for good compression. The 1968-71's would be $300-350 plus shipping. A couple were runners but at this point I'd consider them as all needing rebuilt. John

I probably have that. But those are common items that many members would have extras of. I'd encourage you to create a parts wanted ad showing your location, city/state/province or country. Then try to find the items nearby to save on shipping costs. If you strike out or can't find them at a price your comfortable with get back to me and I'll try to get an estimate for you including shipping. John

So your looking for a single axle, not the entire rear end correct? I'm not an expert, but as long as it has the correct number of splines I would think any of the type O rear ends 67-70 would be the same. If your just needing the axle do you need one with 28 splines? I think the 31 splines are 68-69 only, but am not sure. John

Re:axle

Hey john, yes I am looking for 1 axle 28 spline. I believe the 31 spline are for gear ratios of 3:55 and up. My understanding is that the type o 12 bolts have compatable axles but do not interchange with the 10 bolts. The length of my axle is about 29 and 3/4 if measured from the flange on a diagonal to the tip of the axle where the splines are. If it turns out to be a match what would you want for the axle??
Thanks
Paul

Ceegee424, do you need the correct style for 1973 or will parts that fit and function work for you? I'm asking as I've got several sets of mid-late 1970's power steering brackets but am still looking for a complete set of the earlier style. They will both fit and function, but if your looking for original appearance these may not work for you.

Tallpaul67, I thought I had a type O rear end already missing one axle, but I was wrong. I do have some complete type O rear ends and could pull one from a 1968 rear end. If I did that I'd need $50 for the axle and shipping across the country might add another ~$30 to the costs. If that's in your ballpark I'll get a more precise shipping cost for you to consider before pulling the axle. John

I'm in Ky and am looking for a set of heads from a 1967-1972 350 with casting numbers 4, 5, 6, 7, or 7A. I am wanting to put them on a 79 350. Any help would be appreciated.

Ceegee424, can you send me the 2 letter code on your crankshaft pulley so I can match it?

alburk, yes I have a couple 1969 core supports. They are large and shipping very far can be spendy, where are you located?

creektrails, I've got several core engines with these heads but am unsure if I have a loose set but I'll check.
