For Sale , 1961 394 Starfire engine , orig trans , carb , generator , chrome valve covers , red engine , flat top pistons , #23 heads , unsure of mileage, $1g Canadian obo.

 

Curious this engine has an exhaust crossover i thought Starfire would have dual exhaust.

 

Yes you are correct , but from all the research l've done #23 heads only came on Starfire engines in 61 , engine came out of a 61 Super 88 , doesnt look like the engine has been apart , unless early in it's life under warranty the heads were switched and its a Skyrocket engine ? ,. would like to find some carb and cam numbers to verify .

Go to the drivers of the motor there you will find a number on the head in middle of the block right under the valve cover its about 4-5 letters and has a S after the numbers if its a starfire

 

Thanks , I've posted all the numbers on the engine forum , your the first to come up with the S after the cylinder head number which l don't have , the number is N209718 , If you are correct l have a Skyrocket engine.
