1949 1950 Hood and Fenders FREE
***UPDATE***
Parts are no longer available and were given away to a forum member
I have a set of fenders and a hood for a 1949-1950 Oldsmobile. for FREE!
I have had these in my possession since the 1970's. One of the fenders is NOS in cardboard.
The parts are in good shape.
Please reach out if any is interested. I do not want any money for these parts and want them to go to a Classic Olds owner that might could use them. I am located on Long Island, NY

This is my Dad's 49 Olds that he restored and made a Hot Rod back in the late 70's early 80's. The hood and fenders were spares for this car that he obtained over the years. Sadly my Dad is no longer with us, my brother in law has the car and it is being well kept and will stay garaged forever. I just dont have need for the parts and they take up so much room. Like many of you all I have many other cars and projects...and a lack of space...LOL. When I get a chance I will post pics of the fenders and hood

My '49 will be Olds powered, just not sure yet what engine. I am leaning toward 425/455 Olds with a 4L80E.

My dad was a transmission specialist by trade and swore by the TH400. He could build them with his eyes closed. He also swore by the Oldsmobile rear end and his Rocket 88 uses one. The olds guys at the NAOC meets never liked the GM powered Rocket 88 but oh well....LOL Prob the only L88 powered rocket you would see. We drove it from NY to Ohio for a big meet back in the 80's. I was prob 13 yrs old and it kept vapor locking in traffic in the Bronx....those were the days.
Anyway feel free to PM me

Do the rear fenders include the wheel covers by chance?
Hello, Frank V. Are these still available? If so, are the rear wheel covers/skirts available? I have been looking for wheel covers/ skirts for a long time and haven’t found any. I have a 1949 Olds Rocket 88 that I’m trying to restore.
thanks,
Brian B.
