Hood fit

Trying to get my hood gapped and level with the fenders is proving to be a challenge.
Got the gaps pretty straight but not even on each side.
Also, the hood is sitting a little low compared to the fenders.
Any tips?

Are the side bumpers installed? If not it will sit low.

No, they are not installed yet, I was wondering if they would take care of it. didn't want to put them on until the fenders were painted.
Are they easily removed if I try them out?

I cut off a few of the old bumpers before I stripped and patched my fenders. I taped them to the fenders with blue painters for a reference when gapping the hood and fenders. If you install the new ones for test fitting purposes they will most likely tear when you try to remove them; but they're not terribly expensive if want to try it and end up ordering more.

There are also two rubber hood bumpers on the radiator support....rubber caps on metal discs/threaded posts. Adjusts the height of the hood.
