'68 Fender Stripe question for Joe P

Hey Joe, where you goin with that gun in your hand....

I was just curious and kind of wanted to bug you. What do you think of these stripes on a 68 442?

Anyone see something wrong with these "correctly detailed interior" bucket seats?

Shouldn't you be packing?

The stripes aren't perfect, but at least they are in the right place. Of course, those are 69 seats in that 68. Yes, the headrests were optional in 68, but the center push button release was first used in 69.

I was packing. Taking the "show car" off the shelf and placing it carefully back into the original packageing. It's the only trailer queen I will ever own.
You nailed the seats, did I expect to fool you, or anyone, nope!
The dash is an A/C dash and there is no hint of A/C under the hood. I was surprised they choose an automatic to model, but then again.... they make a '68 H/O too. I bet Ertl just used the same molds/parts in different colours.

Or, it's a 1969 dash with the upper ventilation. Of course, it has the dash "woodgrain", which was only offered on the 69 cars and the 68 H/O.

But the stripe is too far forward and runs over the bump on the back of the wheel opening...on that scale the stripe should almost be touching the door...
