O.a.i hood paint

When painting the factory ram air hood.Should any type of flex additive be used for the fiberglass??Similar to what they use on plastic bumpers.

On the factory hood, the 'glass is bonded to a full steel frame and there will normally be no flexing. The factory used standard paint on these.

Some aftermarket hoods don't have a frame; you would need to ask the manufacturer if they require special paint.

Flex additive is intended for parts that can actually bend out of shape and bend back, like plastic bumper covers and moldings. Fiberglass isn’t flexible and therefore flex additive isn’t needed.
