So my dash is being repainted after rust repair, and shop cant seem to find correct code for the Sienna brown that its painted currently. Its a 71 cutlass supreme convert, w interior trim color calling out 989 on the cowl. Here's a photo of the dash before work started
does anyone know the correct paint number I could tell shop to move this along

Cant they just use the ‘color matching tool’ or dont they have access to one?

 

 

Joe , the shop said the tool he uses won't read flat finish paints ...dunno

Just to follow up in case anyone else runs into this , I took the glove box door to an auto paint supplier and had match done . Their system was much better than Napa, and quickly scored a match . My example was called Vaquero, I'm assuming the last guy to own this got creative w color options.
the factory code off cowl,, and ppg sheet yielded nothing to match.. dark sienna... this photo shows the matched color
