Question What were the colors available for a 78 98 regency diesel?

I've googled but turned up nothing. Anyone know or know where I can find out? I know my car was originally white (it still is, bad paint job though) and seeing I have bought a manual to guide me in complete restoration so I can finally start taking stuff out. While everything is out mind as well repaint it with something original other than white. Help appreciated.

Hang with us, young'un- we'll have you finding stuff like this on your own in no time!

Look on the data plate underhood and you will find the original paint code. Match it up to the two-digit code on the PPG paint chart and you will see what color the car was painted at the factory. Keep in mind that these color chips may be off-shade a little on a computer screen.

Ach, I feel bad about taking so long to reply. Thanks for the help. Will that tell me the paint job on my car only, or will it tell me what colors were available for my model? Thanks a lot for the help.

The data plate will tell you what color the factory painted the car. Look underhood on the firewall or cowl near the windshield and you'll see the plate. Sometimes it will have PNT stamped into it, some years not. Look for a 2-digit code there and then match it to the color chip sheet.

The color chip sheet shows all available factory colors for the model year.

If you want to see what colors were available, go to http://www.autocolorlibrary.com/

They have every car and color back about 75 years!!
