Vista Cruiser Hood Stripes

I've been meaning to find a hood stripe kit for my '71 Vista Cruiser, and don't want to invest in a whole whole w-25 hood yet.

The car is red and I'd like black stripes on the two raised portions of the hood (no louvers, it's not a w-29 hood just plain jane Cutlass hood). It looks like the closest stripe kit is the w-42 that was available on the 1969 Cutlasses, but I can't seem to find one anywhere.

I guess my question to everybody would be where could I find a kit (preferably decal kit as opposed to stencil) for my hood? I feel like I've looked everywhere and all I can find are w-29 or w-25 hood stripe kits. Please let me know if you have any idea where I could find such a kit. Thanks very much, -Jimmy

You can't find them because they don't exist. There was never a factory stripe as you describe. The 1969 stripes won't work since they are a different shape. Get some masking tape and come up with your own stripes.

I have been thinking about the same thing for some time now too. When I first got my car I was thinking about an OAI hood and make it a tribute, but the more I drove it I got to really like just being a supreme. That said I do think it would look great with black 442 hood stripes. I dont want to paint them on in case I decide I dont like them. I looked online for a kit and like Joe says it does not exist, I am thinking about getting a couple of sheets of sign vinyl and cutting my own. I'll let you know if I do it how it works out.
