Trunk paint advise

I have heard Parts Place has a good trunk splatter paint (60-70 qt) that is right on it. Also, Eastwood has the rattle can paint and clear coat (48)
The rattle cans, I can do to speed the process up, but is it best to use "the real" stuff from a gun. Don't want it running if it gets wet as I have heard. Comments gentlemen?

I would rattle can it and be done with it. I put a mat also in the trunk of my 70 so not to scratch the floor. Also with the rattle can you can touch it up later very easily if needed. I like to keep things simple as possible!

That's where I was heading. Keep it as simple as I can. Other way you got to buy the paint, mix it, spray it , involve someone else...will order that today.
Thanks for the advise!

Make sure you're not spraying the spatter paint on bare metal.
Most of the trunk spatter paints are water based and will allow moisture
to soak through and rust the metal below
if it's not coated with something that's water proof.
You'll start seeing rust stains in your new paint.
I learned the hard way.
