Dan when you get a chance post the pics of the doors, also I am curious what other matte black touch's are planning beside the sport mirrors? Or are you going to make us wait and see

I have a lot of ideas like the door handles the letters on the trunk the bumpers and trim but so far the only thing im sure of is matte black stripes on the hood I guess we'll all find out together!

Hm not sure if I want to fill in the holes with bondo and ditch the spoiler or not I'm in the process of getting the trunk lid ready to prime I love the spoiler but part of me says it's more classic muscle without it but I'm doing crazy things with the car already

so now I'm just confused

Im not a fanof trunk stripes on an olds, but if youdid a 69 hurst olds style black stripe onthe hood roof trunk you could paint the spoiler green and maybe even do the ends w black as a homage to the HO.

I can see the HO guys rollin there eyes now. But its your car, illl paint it any way i want

That sounds really cool but the vinyl top is unique and I'd like to keep it for now. I have the ram air hood wich I love those 2 scoops so I still have to ponder a bit on the spoiler. Thanks for sharing that with me retroranger I love it

It's hard to see the wiggles cause it's flat black. o

wow just when I thought you couldn't impress me more! I scowered the entire internet and couldn't seem to find many green cutlass's, These are really interesting combinations, the black bumper is catching my eye, and personally? I think you right about the stripes, I like it without them but I'm thinking about keeping the spoiler and maybe green?. Hm good things to think about... here is my car 3 years ago when I bought it, it had stripes on the trunk and so I got rid of them and did a spoiler and I like it better

.... I see the geico gecko by the way....

Calling it a spoiler which is what I used to do makes me think slapping parts on a rice burner, everytime I say it it sounds wrong, I like calling it a wing a lot better thanks.

Idk...the hate on the wing....
My car would look naked without it.

I like the colors, I'd keep the wing green though, and do the hood and side stripes.

Yeah I love the wing too, I'm most likely gonna keep it and paint it green, but I'm still thinking about doing stripes on the side though. the hood gets stripes for sure

Finally got a day off work this year and did the fenders! I'm gonna see if I can paint them tomorrow morning if the weathers good.

My sister a while back backed up the pick up truck into the passenger fender and left a little dent 😄ha ha

Ain't nothin a little bondo can't fix😜... . Aaah hard work feels good....

Set up lights out back cause it got dark on me.

Everything came out great finally finished at 11 pm. Want to paint these tomorrow so as the man says, a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do!!!
I can't freaking wait!

Sweet. Nice days work. What kind of bike is that in picture 8 looks like an enduro of some sort. I was also curious about the nascar nose pontiac in the back ground.

Well I just finished the last coat of clear and it looks good. When I was on my second coat of clear My breather line got caught on the front fender and the frictional movment caused the line to shed old dry paint particals causing this "throw a pinch of ground pepper" on the front driver fender so I dumped the clear out of the gun immediately and put base coat back in and sprayed right over the first coat of clear and turned the particals green then waited a while then did 2 more coats of clear and I came out looking good I just hope spraying base over clear isn't gonna cause the clear underneath to react when drying so..... Fingers crossed.. 😬 Ill let everyone now by the end of the day if it reacts or if it drys good I'm gonna be in suspense for the entire day. 😶 I'm sweating bullets

This is where I flavored my fender with pepper... 🙃 come on Dan what would you do that for?? I really hope the paint doesn't react to what I've done

This is so fun! I can't wait till I get the car finished!

OK guys be honest would it be Weird to do a gloss black wing? Pretend My hood stripes are matte black with the mirrors

For some reason the gloss makes it seam less like it was slapped on there than I feel the matte black might. What do you think? How about I do more gloss black like the mirrors and the roof molding? Now I am painting the roof molding black anyway because it's not that clean/shiny and i don't want to spend more money to buy new molding. Remember it'll have a vinyl top too would the gloss black+chrome bumpers and polished torque thrust wheels look classy/bad ***? I love hearing your guys thoughts

You can see the gloss and matte finish together if you look at the challenger from your first post. The gloss around the tail lights, matte on the side stripe.

I think the contrast is good if every thing is the same it all starts to look too blended, the contrast accents each other. Makes the matte look more matte the gloss more gloss etc. My 2cents

The top w vinyl and black trim will look great. I vote keep the wing green, it will still look good w gloss or matte but for me green wing.
