epoxy primer/sealer

I just put down a layer of epoxy primer, ppg mp170, due to several factors of equipment and operator error I had several spots to sand down. I have used a 400 wet sandpaper and it is coming out ok. My question is do I need to put another layer of primer on before I put my Base coat on? TIA

If you have sanded through to bare metal or filler, yes. In any case, what does the tech sheet for your selected topcoat say?

All I find on the tds sheet says to top coat within 72 hours. If not it must be scuffed to reapply. I'm going to wet sand the whole thing and put down 1 more coat and then the basecoat within the time frame allowed. I'm reading that will give me the best adhesion.

Typically you put down epoxy primer, then bodywork, then build primer blocked down and a sealer before your top coat. It all depends on what type of finish you are looking for. Data sheet is your guide along with your paint rep.
