I have a question to anyone who has experience with these two paints. I'm thinking about trying a couple of cans from OPGI and wondering if OPGI & Fusick Bronze are the same or different shades. I already have some parts painted but need to buy more. OPGI is about 1/2 the price of Fusick. Thanks

 

At that price, you may want to give it a shot.

Just me but . . . . . in the overall scheme of things the $20 you will save is just a drop in the bucket compared to what you are probably spending on the entire project ??? Wasted money if it doesn't match

Also, if you have 2 1/2 cans of the Fuzick paint already why on earth do you need more ? I dont think I have ever painted an engine and used more then 2 cans of engine paint ? Maybe three on a Marine engine with manifolds and other accessories but never on a car or truck engine. You said you want "heavy" coverage but keep in mind that can lead to paint failure just as easy as not enough.

 

Motor painted & back in the car. Will be running next weekend. Fusick spray nozzles are terrible BTW. I contacted them after having nothing but problems with nozzles clogging after 20 - 30 seconds spraying. I had to remove the nozzle and clean out with brake clean. Fusick is aware of the problem with the new nozzles they are using and were nice enough to send me some replacement cans at no charge.

Thank you. Not bad for an amateur first time engine paint job. Fusicks paint. I stuck with them since they shipped more cans for zero cost.
