I don't know if you fat-fingered your code or not, but it should be just 2 letters, and one can't be "J"

Two letters. First in the lower body color, and second is the top. And as you can see with the chart I posted, J isn't one of them.

The green on the chart almost looks like a J? or is it a I.

In 65 Fremont used three letters for the dog dish cars. The third letter was for the wheel color. Were Fremont 64s like this too?

Like I suspected, a Fremont 64. Your car had the small poverty cap, the third paint letter is for the wheel color. I cant say why it has a J, because that doesnt show up on the 64 paint chart.

My apologies, J (my bad eyesight?) is the Fern Mist Poly, and the C would be a white top.
But the A is a puzzle. It *could* simply mean "black" wheels. Seems unnecessary in the scheme of things, but Fremont did some weird things.

Apparently so, at least in some cases. And this case seems to indicate that there were *not* hubcaps, but full wheel covers on this car.

Can read the tag nicely, thanks (better than my own paint chart!) Dog dish is a generic term for the smaller "hubcap" (as opposed to a larger "wheel cover") that covers just the hub and exposes the rest of the wheel.

Fremont

I was told it was a Airizona car. That makes sense. There's a Scottsdale sticker on the front bumper. Im all the way up in the Rust Belt.
Do you know if Flashers were the law in 64 or 65 for California cars?

Not sure, but if you have a FlareStat underdash four-way flasher, it was dealer available with an Olds part number in 1966 and also commonly installed on the earlier cars.
