1957 Two Tone

Were all 1957 Olds painted with a color body and white top? I have a 57 , Super 88 - 4 Dr, recently purchased and it is all one color. Were they originally Two tone?

You could get them in a single color or two different two-tone schemes in your choice of colors. One scheme had just the top painted a different color and one scheme extended the top color to the trunk and upper quarter panels (as in the picture).

Thank you for the information. What about the color between the two moldings on the rear quarter? I have seen white and black. Is that also an option?

There were a variety of colors available for the stripe and the wheels, too. Check out this link to the AACA forums. There is a color chart with recommended combinations shown there.

A lot of different options are given it seems. I will try to keep mine as true to original as possible.
