Kickdown cable connection to 1966, 4 barrel
I have a 1966 Sports Coupe, 330, AT, column shift, with a Rochester 4 barrel. I installed a TH-350 and retired the Jet-Away. The Kickdown cable kit is a Lokar: KD-2350U. My carb was rebuilt by Sparky. He said that my carb was not the original but none the less a quality “service” carb from the correct era. I read what I can from our site. Lokar told me they make nothing to interface their Kickdown cable kit to my carb linkage. Sparky said any modifications would need to be dead on right to get the proper geometry setup. I read that it’s not the end of the world to not have a Kickdown cable, but I don’t run that way. Some posters mention junkyard parts from the 70s. Our junkyards have nothing left from that era. I have the stock pedal and linkage still all in place. Any suggestions (with pix hopefully) would be greatly appreciated. I will include a few pix of my setup on the next post.
