I have a 1992 Oldsmobile 88 Royale. The air coming out of the vents is very limited.

I'm able to select where the air goes; floor, windshield, vents. But when I turn the amount of air up, almost nothing changes. The blower gets louder with each click so it sounds like everything is working right but the air only increases slightly.

I've taken it to a shop to get the A/C system checked, they did a recharge but nothing changed. They said the compressor may be broken. Could this affect the amount of air?

Is there certain parts I can clean or check?
I've tried to find info on a cabin air filter, blend door actuator and an evaporator core but I can't find clear answers.
