Best way to ship headers

I have a set of headers I bought from Jet Hot years ago and am sending them back to them for a lifetime warranty clean-up and re-coating of the headers. I have them all packed up real well and want to ship them as secure bus less expensive as possible. Has anyone done this and what would be the best way to ship the headers back. UPS won't cover for "damage" only "loss" unless you have them package them up. Not trilled by that. Fed Ex will ship them if I package them and will cover both loss and damage for the insured value. I want to send them ground either way. I was hoping that Jet Hot would have given me a return number and a pre-paid label to send them back at their better rate. But no. It costs me shipping both ways to get the re-coat under warranty. I'd like to keep these since I know they fit well and they are in great shape except for the finish peeling off!

Any experiences & thoughts appreciated,

I have always found FEDEX to be less expensive than UPS, and usually a bit faster.

I'd use some bubble wrap around and between them so they don't rattle around and ding up.

Got them packed real well and shipped and sent through UPS Ground for a reasonable price. I shipped it from the local UPS Ground terminal. I found out my issues with The UPS store not wanting to cover damages, only loss, unless I had The UPS Store box the item up for me at additional cost was a UPS Store issue! The UPS Ground terminal said the The UPS Stores were franchises and had a different insurer than The UPS company and it's set up to get extra charges for them to package your items! I'll bet I saved 25% to 50% by shipping through the actual UPS! Just a heads up!
