67 Post 442 Chrome on Quarter Windows?

This is the second 67 Post 442 Sport Coupe I have owned. Never paid attention but should the quarter windows have a chrome strip pressed onto the glass at the leading edge? I question this because these strips seem to be impeding the operation of the crank windows. And the chrome strip on the driver's side has slipped down about an inch causing binding. I don't remember these being on my red car. And the strip is hidden into the side channel for the most part. TKS

I've got a 67 post project car. It does have a strip on the glass, but its pretty thin. Without this strip, would it fit tight in the fuzzy channel? Does yours look like this?

Yes thats it. Thanks, so it looks like it belongs there. I just was not sure. I will have to remove the one that has slipped and put it back where it belongs and see about lube-ing everything and checking the adjustment.

2blu442,, that Sports Coupe looks in good shape. Nice looking bright work window trim. B80?
