Post Holly 770 Street Avenger Fuel pressure

Anyone else running the Holly SA 770? If so what fuel pressure are you running? I have an electric fuel pump and regulator from Aeromotive. When I first took delivery of the car the fuel pressure reading from my guage was around 3psi.. this seemed low to me so I looked up the recommendations. According to the Holly reference guide the carb calls for around 6-8psi. Is there any reason to run less in my current set up? I went ahead and adjusted the fuel pressure to 7psi from the regulator and followed it up with a tune of the carb. Is this too high in peoples experience or was the previous owner of this car running it too low?

The car has performance cams, rods and rockers and is bored over.
Torker intake and dynomax full exhaust headers back.
MSD elec ingnition 6AL.

Thanks in advance

The recommended fuel pressure is 5-7#'s, I prefer 6.5. As long as its not flooding the bowls your good.
