Does anyone have any experience with a company called Auto City Classics located in Minnesota?
I've looked at their prices and they seem to be very reasonable.
I'm just wondering if they are quality parts.

I've never heard of them. What type of car do you want to do a disc brake conversion on? If it's a Cutlass your best bet and cheapest route is to find a salvage car with the parts you need. If you want to do a swap on a B/C body or 50s Olds you might check out Scarebird.

I'm considering a conversion on my 67 Cutlass/442.
I just happened upon the advertisement for the company in the Olds Club of America newsletter.
Out of curiosity I looked up their website and they sell a complete kit for under $500.00 with all new components and being from Minnesota myself I could just drive there and save on shipping.

 

Depending where they are in Minnesota, you could drive there and check them out. Are they selling other peoples products ? Will your stock wheels work with the conversion ? What other things would be needed ?

 

From the looks and the description the kit is very complete including booster, master and valve,spindles,lines,& calipers.
They claim they can be used with SSII&III 14" rims.

 

I've bought other items from ACC, but not their brake kit. I've seen these kits at their booth at Carlisle. It's the same Chinesium spindles that everyone sells. These kits are pretty much the same quality. Shop for price. One thing to consider is that Right Stuff sells a "mini kit" that only includes the spindles, splash shields, and caliper brackets for something like $175. Everything else (calipers, rotors, master cylinder, hoses, combo valve) is available locally to save shipping on heavy cast iron parts.

This is the one system I don't want to skimp on.

 

I have purchased parts from auto city for years.
They do not manufacture the parts there. The are a local seller of what most all the reproduction houses have. Some times the prices are better there ( shop around) and you will save shipping if you can drive to the place north of the cities and pick up.. They will charge MN state tax for a retail sale
