Need help in locating a temp sending switch for 62 Starfire with idiot lights in inst. pnl. Any one know where to obtain? Thread on this forum indicates a Borg Warner # D363AF. Any help appreciated.

I purchased a temp sending unit from USA auto parts for my 64 88. If it is the sending unit they have it...a 'switch' I don 't know!!!

Checked with them, the only one they have is for a F85 and only has one terminal. Thank you for the answer. Still looking everyone

I see the terms used interchangeably, but I agree, to my mind, it's a "sending unit," not a "switch."

Oxford, when you say "lights," I assume you mean a HOT and a COLD light (I've never owned a '62). If that's the case, there are a lot of options that should work, even if not exactly "correct."

My '68s both had HOT / COLD lights, and used a Standard Automotive Products TS15 (if my memory serves me).
This sender is listed for buicks back to 1960, but for Olds only to '65.

If it uses a different thread, you could always adapt it, but I'd bet it would serve your needs.

62 had round "posts" on the temp indicator switch rather than blade terminals as on the switch above. You can change the plug and the above will work fine. However, I think you'll be able to find the correct piece.

This one is technically a switch since it only turns an indicator lamp on or off. A sending unit implies variable output as with a gauge. But that's splitting hairs.
