First I'd check an Olds Parts Catalog to see what the interchange is within Olds. You can do this at Wild About Cars:
http://wildaboutcarsonline.com/cgi-b...=9980334161483
If they're not interchangeable with available A-body units, I'd check to see if they interchange with Pontiac and check a B-body Pontiac supplier like Ames.

Wild About Cars. http://wildaboutcars.com. An information supersource, especially Oldsmobile. More Olds content than anywhere else on the internet and continuing to grow.
You'll find Chassis Service Manuals, Product Information Manuals (AKA Assembly Manuals), Inspector's Manuals, and other documents that will contain this and much much more.
Dealer Brochures, magazine ads and articles, and a home page for you online with your own garage where you can show off what you have.

I believe in 65 there was a type 1 and type 2 which carried over into 1966. You did not say if the car has Ac or not because the sender would have an extra line for fuel return. There is a nos Ac one on ebay now listed for a 66 Sfire at 200 bucks. Kinda pricey and I dont know if there is an aftermarket one available....

Take a look here: https://classicoldsmobile.com/forums...tml#post163855

So far as I know, this should work for all 65-70 full size Olds tanks.

the tank on my 65 Starfire has the sending unit mounted on the side of the tank, same as the 65 66 88 and 98 , that unit is a top of the tank mount so no go. So far the best bet is the rebuilt from usa auto parts for $150, still a little pricey but it is the cheapest that I have found.

if you guys ever need your sending units rebuilt, check these guys out. They completely rebuilt the one in my 67 pontiac for only $120ish, and it looked new!
