Manifold heat wrap for 63 Olds Cutlass?

I was considering wrapping the stock exhaust manifolds on my 63 Cutlass with some heat wrap in an attempt to reduce under hood temperatures.

It would certainly be a challenge to wrap such irregular shapes, but my main concern would be having the heat migrate to the heads, possibly causing issues?

Does anyone have experience with this?

Thank you all,

IMO that would be a complete waste of time and energy.

Why is that?
Do you think it wouldn't be effective at keeping under hood temps down?
Do you think it might cause heads to heat up too much?

There is not enough room to wrap them between the manifold and the block.

It's not that there isn't enough room for wrapping the manifolds on the 215 aluminum V8, all the runners are individual and come away from the head, it's just wouldn't be a worthwhile project. I don't think you would gain much if anything.....

Thanks for the input.

It just gets so ?@&? hot under there, especially with a/c on.

What would be a typical coolant temperature range at idle, with a/c on? (During summer in New Orleans)

I start to worry when the temp at idle goes much over 205-210 degrees at idle with my 63. I find myself turning off the AC when it gets to that point, though replacing the stock 52 year old radiator with a new aluminum one did help a lot.

I worry at 220, what is your temp running?

It varies, but at its hottest at idle, with a/c on, its at about 210 deg f.
