Courtesy light

Ok, good folks. Here's my dilemma. I'm missing the lens that goes over my courtesy light in the hatchback area of my 74 Omega. Knowing I probably will never find a replacement, and also checking my Nova catalogs for a replacement, what will interchange with it? I was going to put a roof-top light in place of it, but the recess in the plastic panel is pretty small. Any other ideas?

I'm fairly sure nova is the same but let me know if you can't find one and I'll look.I have a 73 Omega for parts thats a hatch back.Mine is not a hatch back so I have no use for those parts.I'm thinking more and more about scrapping it after removing the glass and a few other things. But I've been thinking about it for a while to.

Sorry I'm not that familiar with the Omega lights, but...Is it anything like the sailpanel lights on the Cutlass Supreme? They are about 2" in diameter? Take a look at Fusicks newest catalogue on p83 top right. I think Olds would try to have at least some interchangeable lenses.

It is about 2 inches, and mounts in the general area.....I just measured it, and from the edge of the bezel to the other edge is 3 1/4".Don't mind the mess in the car. My son and I just installed the new floor shifter, and I have new carpeting to put in, then the seat.

Well, I got off my lazy butt, and checked out the lens and bezel. It LOOKS like the one in the Fusick catalog. The lens is 2" and the bezel seems to be the same. I guess there's only one way to find out, and that's to order it,lol. I'm going to hold off until I hear from Railguy, though. Man, thanks for the great info, and the fusick site. Much appreciated Thanks everyone!!!!

Sorry the light is already gone.I'm including a page out of my parts book, with the group and part number.Maybe you can find out the nova part # and see if its the same.Theres a site called stevesnovasite.com maybe they can help.I also have a Nova cross over book. The light's not in it as it only deals with the major parts that cross over to Nova. You'll probably need one of those.I think I only paid like $19.95 on e-bay.It just says Hollander Nova 1968-1979.Hope this helps.

Those pics look exactly like the sailpanel lights from the Cutlass Supreme models (70-72 for sure). So the lenses from Fusick, Parts Place etc should all fit just fine and not be all yellowed out from age or use. Glad I could help out.

FYI Parts place has them too. I guess it depends on whether you want the ones with the 7 rings or the flat panel. PP has both, but fusicks only has the ringed ones. Have a look at Parts Place in your searches also, they have just as good a product as Fusicks and sometimes the prices are better depending on the item. http://www.thepartsplaceinc.com/ocat...&YearList=1972 and use the "keyword" sail panel lamp lens
