chrome trim removal

chrome trim removal

hi . i have a 61 olds f85 4 door.im starting to get to my chrome on my doors, around the windows mainly is my problem.i have yet to realy touch it. does it ''pop''off with a trim tool? it looks to me like it was clamped on by olds in the factory and the last thing i want to do is destroy chrome. can anyone give me some tips on removing the chrome around the windows ,maybe a link?

best tip, very carefully...lol. You will need a trim removal tool to remove trim from around the windows, the old days of doing it with a screwdriver are long gone if you plan on reusing your trim. my advise would be to buy a good tool from an autobody speciality store or eastwoods online not that junk that harbor freight sell. good luck
