Can anybody identify this part?

I have this part from my '62 Cutlass. I can't determine where it goes.. LOL..

I think it is some sort of shield that installs near the engine?

Anybody know where it goes?

Thanks

It bolts to the inner fender. I'll have to go look at mine to tell you exactly where.

I believe it goes on the driver front corner under the fender well just behind where the front suspension bolts on. I will try to get a picture if I can before it gets dark out.
