Would it be the same as a 62 Buick Special? I have a used one from a 61 Buick but it will be a while till I can pull it out of the car. I was told that you can have them rebuilt but not sure where that would be.

I would think so but I can't even find a Buick, if so how much? Have you got any info back on that jet fire down in Louisiana ?

It would be a while before I could pull it but as long as it is good and the fuel gauge side tests good I would do $25 and shipping. it is a 40K mile car and worked when I pulled the engine 2 years ago.

The guy wants $5000 for the Jetfire. WAY to much in my opinion, but...... I am going to pursue it farther because when he figures out that nobody is likely to pay him that for it I would like to still be able to have a chance at it. From what little I have seen, it is border line parts car or savable. I would sure hate to see it parted out though. I have two guys wanting me to find one for them but both guys want one road worthy with the turbo.

sounds good let me know I really need one or might. Having problems with fuel to carb and I've literally just replaced all fuel lines and fuel pump and filter. &I called said it ran but without turbo and I might have a chance at it too. Have a 62' wagon, cutlass & id love a jet fire. Looks fairly complete needs work but overall not to shabby

It may be the sock on the end that is plugged up.

If you are interested in the Jetfire I will back off of it. I absolutely don't need it and you are closer than I am. My thoughts from the little I am seen is $2500.

you think so? I literally just replace the sending unit all lines I was thinking it might be the electric fuel pump. Man I'd get it for that but honestly don't see myself getting it. I currently have to many, have 2 62' cutlass and f85 wagon and a 1967 Amc rambler . I'm trying to get rid of one of the 62' that doesn't run but body is real nice. Solid starter project

I may not be following you then? You have already replaced the fuel sender and sock? Did you add the electric pump to it or was it on there before you got it? Maybe you have another problem?

I haven't been posting onto thread that youngolds had for the f85 wagon but I replaced the lines and cleaned tank and got a new fuel ending unit. I'm currently replacing electric fuel pump and filter but for some reason won't travel to carb. Electric fuel pump running dry makes a screeching noise.

That pump was a crappy used one I threw on there to get it moving, the car should have had a brand new in the box mechanical pump in it when you got it
