Windshield Wiper Refill (rubber)
Hey guys,
I've been working on wiper related projects lately.
I bought my car a year ago with proper wiper arms, but with black plastic wiper blades. I'm now in the process of replacing them with period correct blades. I bough Trico blades off an auction site , but still need the rubber refill. Autozone and O'Reilly don't have these in stock - no surprise. Any suggestions as to where to buy the rubber refills? These are 16 in. long. The slots are approx 8 mm's wide (see 2nd pic).

Refills are getting VERY hard to find anywhere. Apparently, the majority of people are too uneducated to replace just the rubber parts. Only the blades are available now.
Hey - selling the whole piece means more $$ for the vendors, too!
Be careful when buying them online if you find them, as I did that a while back and got some for the caddy that did not fit. They were too cheap to send back, so they got trashed.
One option is to compare your originals to the new ones at the local stores. You might be able to remove the rubber part from the new ones and install them in the factory ones to keep that factory look.

Well, I was finally able to track down a refill. It took my 4th auto parts store to make the find. NAPA offers a refill - part # 60-1612. It's a Trico product under the NAPA name.
