Why doesn't these Manuals on DVD help?

I bought a 1972 Cutlass-Detroit Iron Manuals on CD off of ebay, and it was supposed to be the end all, be all of instuction manuals, including the Fisher body manual, parts manual, shop manual, ect. But every damn time I need info on something, it seems to be left out. Like right now I am trying to find the correct way to secure the bottom of my fan shroud, that was previously missing. No answers/diagrams. I also have the shroud/radiator insulators, so Im trying to find where/how to mount them, no answers. I don't really want to drop another $50-$70 bucks on a new service manual, because thats what I thought I was getting. Any Ideas? Anyone?
