SSII rims HELP

Exclamation SSII rims HELP

well i got the rally rims, and got them painted now i took off all the chrome and stuff but now trying to get them back on is a pain in the **** http://www.oldsmobility.com/images/SSII-2.jpg http://www.oldsmobility.com/images/SSII-1.jpg the beauty ring isnt the problem and nor is the center cap its the little trim rings in the middle that wont go back in right i can get them to set in but i cant get the clips to pinch agesnt the rim enough to hold them tight, any ideas or guesses? ill try anything that sounds good

Is the tension too loose on the clips? That is the only think I could think that would keep them from staying on. You should be able to re-tension them a little with a small screwdriver, just bend them back into place a little. They can be a little difficult to place back on, each one needs a little different "ommph". Be sure that the ring is properly positioned too, you can tell by looking from the back side of the wheel, sometimes just a move left or right a few millimeters does it.

yeah i figured as much, its gonna be a you kno what tho cuz you gotta get it just right and one way doesnt work for another, thanks, just tryin to make sure im doin it right or if theres any other options
