Seat belt bolt question

Seat belt bolt question
I ordered a pair of inner seat belt anchor bolts with 70% thread from fusick and they are different from the ones that came out. These are the ones that bolt to the driveshaft hump for the front belts. My old ones are fine thread and chrome plated. Fusicks are course thread and not plated, which are correct?
Thanks, Rob

Well, obviously, the fine-thread is correct if that's what you pulled out of the car. To use the new bolt, you would need to drill and tap a new hole, but you would have to make sure it is reinforced like the old one is. There is a large weld nut under the floor that the bolt screws into which spreads the load, should the bolt actually have to hold in an accident, to a larger area of the floor.
Frankly, your old bolt doesn't look bad at all. Can you just clean it up and re-use it? Otherwise, I'd send the new bolt back to Fusick, and I'd include the photo you've provided here to show them exactly what you need. They might not have it.

Up through 1966, 7/16" x 20 thread was used; in 67, GM started using 1/2" x 13 thread. Make sure the thread in the reinforcements of your car are correct. Also be sure the bolts don't go far enough into the tunnel that the driveshaft could it them with the suspension tilted any way. With a 4" aftermarket shaft, I cut off the bolts to be one thread more than flush inside the driveshaft tunnel.

I spoke to fusick and they dont have the ones I need. I only have one bolt and would rather not tap a new hole. I would like to find 1 or 2 of these, does anybody know who sell them?
