Just curious if any members use Eddie Motorsports Billet Aluminum Hood Hinges for 1969-72 Olds Cutlass? Looks pretty neat. Just wondering how well they work with the stock Ram Air hood. Are they well built and smooth operating?

They are extremely well built and smooth operating. I have them on my Chevelle. I couldn't tell you how well they work with ram air hood.

Yeah, on their site they want you state what finish you want and what type of stock hood you have. Some of the options were stock steel and fiberglass. Well, to me the Ram Air hood is a blend of both. It's not as light as the L-88 hood fiberglass hood I had on my Camaro but it probably lighter than if it were all steel. I would suspect the Ram Air hood weighs at least as much as a stock steel hood for a 72 Cutlass. The Ram Air hood is not lightweight!
