I am in the process of tuning up the core support on a 66 442. The original mounting holes had the typical rust around the mounting holes, (leaving a jagged hole about 2" in dia.) so I cut that out and welded in new metal. I need the measurement for the front to back location of the 1 5/16 mounting holes. I determined the side to side location based on the mounting holes on the frame, Can anyone give me a front to back measurement and reference point?

Probably right in the middle of that rust hole.

I don't think it matters all that much, you have adjustments to compensate. I have seen frame dimension charts used by collision repair folks, maybe you can find that on the internet.

 

I had tried to search the net for the info but couldn't find anything on the core support. I was going to go for the center of the rust hole like you suggested, but want to be sure that I get it as accurate as possible. How much adjustability is there?
