Anyone use one of these A body stainless fuel tanks?

Hey guys. I was wondering if anyone bought one of these. I wanted to redo all my fuel lines in stainless.. and I figured why not the tank too.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/350442469513...84.m1438.l2649

The price doesn't seem too bad for the stainless tank, straps with rubbers, and stainless sender. I figured I would get some opinions or maybe find out if there is anything better out there too. Any info would be appreciated.

Yes, I just bought one earlier this year for my '68, cause my original got punctured by road debris.

Fit perfectly, gauge works spot on.....Very nice piece.(Make sure you specify your application, as there are variances on vent lines/return lines, etc.

Wash it out first though, I used some lacquer thinner, seems to be some kind of stamping coating on it, that I didn't want going into my FI system.

Make sure you buy a new top pad for it, or it'll rattle/wear thru for sure.

Go for it, a great buy.

Hope this helps
Greg

Thanks Greg! Yeah, I was looking at top pads last night too. Aren't they just rubber roofing material basically? I will have to shop around for a good price. I will totally get the tank though. Thanks for the info! Much appreciated
