About 5 years ago my kid n i set up some slot car track using about 3 sets. We had a huge layout w a couple long straights and 4 3 level corkscrews, and some high bank curves then we added my HO scaletrain w a roadcrossing to the layout, so the train went around while you were racing and you either had to stop or beat the train, it was a lot of fun, and unlike when i was a kid the cars really stuck to the track.

my buddy saw it n tried it out one day and the next time he was over he brought 2 muscle car slot cars w him that he picked up at a hobby shop. one was a gto i dont recall the other one. We put the new cars on the track and they were dead slow and couldnt even make the corners at their slow speed, it was hilarious how bad they were!

those look pretty cool, i wonder how they go?

Are those the old Aurora Thunderjet style cars? Very cool. I was not aware that people were making them.

Yes Thunderjet Style I bought some about 10 years ago the ones with the stripes, body’s only. And bought the chassis separate.
they stopped making the body until recently.
They started again with no stripes.
I also bought Newer chassis called killer bee’s
supposed to but a good one all copper and riveted with choice of Vincent wheels.
7 different style wheels
look up “Dash motorsports” they are sold out on the chassis to the public but plenty of body’s
You can pick up the chassis online tons of people selling them maybe a few extra bucks than the dealer that actually makes them.
you can also look up AW “Autoworld which is basicalllly like Afx years ago.
they make chassis too.
