A6 AC Compressor

I'm wanting to rattle can spray paint my A4 compressor, '68 442 --- should I use flat black, satin, or semi-gloss to most closely match the OE appearance?

What’s the difference between satin and semi gloss, I’ve used semi-gloss on pretty much everything under the hood

There are no "legal" definitions of satin or semi-gloss, so relying on the vendor's description is a crap shoot. Typical GM underhood paints were about 60% gloss.
