68 442 convertible top - plastic or glass?" __________________

Hello all,
Does anyone have a suggestion or can give a quick pro/con on Glass versus Plastic for the rear window when replacing the convertible top on my newly purchase 68 442 ?
It will be booting it when using, and it will be weatherproofed covered or garage when not using, All your expertise and experience is much appreciated.

Thank you in advance
jon

I went with the glass window when I replace mine about 3-4 months ago. I think it's going to be a preference on what you may like the most. The top that I replace had glass and the glass looked good but the top was trash. My opinion is the glass is better but others might disagree.

Glass was what these came with from the factory. Plastic is cheaper but can become hazy over time, and eventually degrade and crack.

Just another hint besides the glass rear window and that is, if you are going to have someone install the top for you, consult with that person first. Most installers have a preference as to which brand of top they will install and some will absolutely avoid certain brands. So check first before you buy if you are going that route.

BTW, I lived in Antioch several years ago, and Concord years before that. Enjoyed the area out there although it was a heck of a commute to Alameda!
