I just got a few parts from Summit today. I ordered a set of 2.5" Trumpet Tips by Pypes Exhaust. I have been reading a few threads in regards to some members sanding and buffing out the etched 'Pypes' logo. I just want to know what grit sandpaper or pad was used along with the buffing compound to remove the logo.
...and be careful....the Pypes tips can have some very sharp edges along the trumpet end. Found out about that while polishing one that was installed on a tailpipe. Sliced the heck out of my finger. And....your sanding/polishing work may create a very sharp edge where there wasn't one so check after you're done and smooth or debur any sharp edges. It's more fun when you can clean the tips, once installed, and not end up sliced fingers.
