Wanted Australian Valiant VE wagon
Wanted Australian Valiant VE wagon
Hi everyone.
Just thought I'd put this out there, one never knows who sees what. Looking for an Australian Valiant VE wagon, which would be 1968 vintage. A VF wagon (1969) would do in a pinch. Engine doesn't really matter, I think they were all 6's anyway.
So if you happen to see one around and the owner could be talked out of it, drop me a line. Unless the owner has done some huge custom job on it or a rotisserie restoration, it won't be a huge amount of money. Extra points for the deep south but anywhere else isn't necessarily a deal breaker.
Thanks everyone.

They are around here in Australia or are you looking to find one thats already in the US ?? I'm sure you have probably researched the prices but heres a link with some guides. And remember the exchange rate is quite favourable for you with A$1 = ~64 cents US at present. Cost to ship to the west coast is about $2500.

Now that would have been some helpful information. Yes, it would be ideal for the car to already be in the States, but if it's still in Australia, the closer to Melbourne the better. I have friends that could help me there.
That was a good link, I enjoyed reading through it. Even learned a couple things. So there you have it. VE Valiant. Give me a shout.

That's a nice looking wagon. The only place I knew right off to look online was moparmarket but now I get a message saying they are permanently closed. Hm.
When I was at Chryslers On The Murray this year there were only two VE wagons. One a custom job and the other an over the top restoration. There was a VF wagon for sale on a trailer that looked like it only had a couple door slams left in it.

Here's another one but its in Queensland. https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/pinj...al-/1237331563
I think I've underestimated the popularity and prices of the VE wagons. When I first started going to Australia, maybe 15 years ago, wagons of any sort seemed plentiful. These days not so much. I was hoping I could find one well under 10K, but so far that is out the window.
Thanks for your help 35, I think this is going to be a long search.
