Thats the one where they ran some kind of coolant choke right? And isnt it a 1 year only aluminum head? I helped my buddy pull a 300 from a 64 Lasabre. Cool little motor.

Yessir Different configuration for the '65 300 (ports don't quite line up) unless you have '64 heads on a '65 300 block

The 65 had aluminum block and heads if I remember correctly. I worked for a Buick dealer then but that was a long time ago.

Yep but this intake won't work on the '65 configuration.

You don't.

The 61-63 215s were all aluminum. The 64 300s had an iron block and aluminum heads. The 65-up motors were all cast iron.
